So I have two rooms in the front of the house that could use more space, besides rearranging the furniture, I turned to working on the closet. A while back I had installed shoe racks and more shelves in my closet so I had some experience with wire shelving already. I knew I was going to install a system in one room, but that meant that i would have extra wire shelving, what was I going to do with that? How about use it for another system, designed by yours truly
Here is the first system which used closetmaid components. it started as one long shelf about 6′. It`s now got an actual rod to hang cloths as well as storage shelves. The shoe rack complements it quite well. There are two levels at about 3.5′ height and 4′ in length each for normal stuff (slacks/shirts) as well as around 2′ of rod for full length garments.

The second was an off the shelf system that I bought on Amazon. The advantage of this system is that the shelves are adjustable. The first picture is of everything spread out
Next is the room itself, like I said I moved furniture around a bit, and hung a painting. Last is the closet itself, first empty then with a few items.

Update, 3/16/08 following on from the two smaller closets, I decided to upgrade the closet in my room as well. There are two pics of the finished empty closet and two restocked. The closet itself continues to the right and each rod extends 6′.
